This coming year we will be having our bi-annual World Championships!

This year’s theme is One Family!!

We are at a new location this year and would like to share some information so you and your students can begin to plan your travel. The registration form is not open yet; however, you can reserve your room at the championship hotel.

• July 15-19^th 2026
• Location- Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center and Hotel, 1551 Thoreau Dr N, Schaumburg, IL 60173. The location will hold both the championship hotel and the tournament.
• The nearest airport is Chicago O’Hare International Airport, ORD. It is around a 20-minute drive to the championship hotel and convention center
• Schaumburg is about 30 miles or 48 kilometers northwest of Chicago

• There are many restaurants and activities in the area around the hotel/ convention center. There is even a free shuttle that runs around the town. Woodfield Trolley | Schaumburg, IL

Tentative schedule of events:

• Wednesday July 15^th– Ki Gong at the Convention Center
• Thursday July 16^th– Ki Gong and WTSDA training clinics at the convention center. A lake and river architectural boat tour of Downtown Chicago with bussing will be available.
• Friday July 17^th– Black Belt and creativity competition.
• Saturday July 18^th– Opening Ceremonies and Gup competition.
• Saturday night July 18^th One Family Championship party in the same room as the competition with a live band and a DJ.
• Sunday July 19^th– One Family picnic at Six Flags Great America. About 40 miles or 65 kilometers North of the hotel. There will be bussing available for an additional cost.
• Bonus Monday July 20^th– A Cubs game at historic Wrigley Field with a bus to and from the hotel, a 90 minute behind the scenes tour of Wrigley and a ballgame. WTSDA Member Bus Trip to Wrigley Field. Bus, Ticket, Tour, & Souvenir

• Bono: Lunes 20 de julio: Un partido de los Cubs en el histórico Wrigley Field con transporte en autobús desde y hacia el hotel, una visita guiada de 90 minutos entre bastidores del Wrigley Field y el partido. WTSDA Member Bus Trip to Wrigley Field.
